DETROIT - Thanks to the on-line edition of The New York Times, Brenda Boline of Watkins, MN, was able to get up-to-the-minute news from around the world, weather from around the country, and a brand new 2003 Celebration Edition LeSabre from Buick.

All for free.

Boline is the grand-prize winner in the LeSabre Celebration Sweepstakes. Chuck Fenton of Fenton Motors (1005 Sibley Avenue N. Litchfield, MN 55355) will hand over keys to the LeSabre the Monday, Feb. 24, at 1:30 p.m. CST.

In the sweepstakes, which ran last summer, readers of The New York Times on-line registered for a chance to win daily prizes including New York Times posters, books and videos and the grand prize of a 2003 LeSabre Celebration Edition. Boline was one of nearly 70,000 registrants.

Boline, a receptionist with the Meeker County Public Health Department, has one other contest win on her resume, but is understandably more excited about this one.

"Last year I won a fajita maker," she explains. "But the whole family is excited about the new Buick LeSabre. My husband John has taken our five-year-old son Jacob to Fenton Motors to check out the Celebration Edition already."

For the last 11 years, Buick LeSabre has been the best-selling full-size car in the U.S. market. To commemorate this, and to celebrate Buick's centennial in 2003, the division has launched a "Celebration Edition" of LeSabre. Emulating Buick's premium American style, the Celebration LeSabre has been in high demand.

"We are sure Brenda and her family will love the Celebration Edition LeSabre," said Annette Smith, LeSabre marketing director. "This is a great way to celebrate Buick's 100th birthday and welcome the Bolines into the Buick family."

On the LeSabre Celebration Edition (MSRP $32,495), the exterior package comes with a new monochrome emblem, a grille with blacked-out bars, a blacked-out license plate pocket and two new optional premium paints - Crimson Pearl (a rich red color) and White Diamond - in addition to the standard Light Bronzemist.

Also featured are body-color lower fascias and rocker moldings, turn-signal indicators in the side mirrors and new 16-inch chrome-plated aluminum wheels.

Interior refinements to the Celebration Edition enhance LeSabre's reputation for affordable luxury and value. Two-tone leather seats with embroidered logos are standard, as is Black Cherry wood grain on the instrument panel and door trim pads. There are chrome interior door handles and the floor mats receive the special embroidered Buick tri-shield.

The widely acclaimed 3800 3.8L Series II V6 engine offers smooth power combined with excellent fuel economy (estimated at 20-mpg city, 29-mpg highway). In fact, LeSabre has the best fuel-economy rating in its class.

Making the LeSabre even more of a celebration is a special $750 in option savings on every Celebration Edition vehicle.
