GRAND BLANC, Mich., – A chance to play golf with Buick Touring Professional Tiger Woods is among four items available to the public in a special auction to raise money for the Buick Open charities. The items will be available for bid on ebay (www.ebay.com/buickopencharities) from June 9 (at 10 p.m. ET) through June 18 (at 10 p.m. ET).

“There are some fantastic items up for bid in this auction, including a chance to spend a day playing golf with Tiger,” said Larry Peck, Buick’s Golf Marketing Manager. “This is also a great opportunity to help raise money for the Buick Open charities in Southeastern Michigan .”

One lucky person will have the opportunity to play golf with Tiger Woods in the Buick Open Pro-Am (or the next Buick-sponsored tournament he plays in) on Wednesday, July 27.The event will take place during Buick Open week (July 25-31) at Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club in Grand Blanc.

Other items include an all expense-paid trip to meet Tiger Woods at the 2005 Buick Scramble National Championships at Grande Lakes Resort in Orlando (includes lodging and airfare for two); an autographed Tiger Woods golf bag; and VIP passes to the 2006 Daytona 500 (including airfare for two, hotel accommodations for three nights and more).

Proceeds from the auction will go to the Buick Open charities, including the American Red Cross, Whaley Children’s Center, The Easter Seal Society, the American Lung Association of Michigan and many more. Buick has donated $7.2 million to charities throughout Southeastern Michigan since 1982, including a record $740,000 from the 2004 Buick open.

The 2005 Buick Open, scheduled for July 25-31 at Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club, will offer a record purse of $4.6 million. The defending champion is Vijay Singh, who can become the first player to win back-to-back titles since Tony Lema in 1965. Singh also can become the first player to win the Buick Open three times.
